Hey Crocs!  

We're almost to the beginning of the season, can you believe it?!  Volunteer shifts were going to go live today but we STILL don't have 2 people willing to help us run the scoring system at our swim meets (insert sad face emoji here).  We need these people in place before we can move forward with the rest of the season.  We do have former swimmer and coach, Olivia Vance willing to help the people who take over the role for this year.  Here is a short description of what the scoring Chairs would do:

The day before the meet you will help "build" the meet in Meet Maestro based on the coaches entries, (Olivia can help with this).  You will be responsible for analyzing the entires for any deficits, duplicates or swimmers that need to swim an event because they haven't swam it yet (Olivia is also good at this).  Before each home meet you will be responsible for creating and printing the heat sheets and timer sheets.  Scoring Chairs enter event/heat results into scoring software, Meet Maestro during the meet.  You will have volunteers at the meet to help you with this.  You will be able to leave the table and watch your kids swim.  At away meets the home club is responsible for creating and distributing the heat sheets and timer sheets as well as entering the information, so you just need to be on hand to answer any questions regarding our team's entries.  Your main job is during our two home meets and building each meet the day before our meets.   

• This will fulfill ALL your volunteer shifts, including Champs
• At least one person of the Scoring team will need to be present for a training meeting at KCCC on Tuesday, May 24th at 7pm

Hi Croc Families! Looking for a GREAT way to get to know other Croc fams and the swimmers in your child's age group?? VOLUNTEER TO BE AN AGE GROUP COORDINATOR!!! It's a FUN way to fulfill your regular-season (NOT including Champs) volunteer shifts.

The Age Group Coordinator is simply there to help the age group get to know each other better, support our coaches and be a point person for communication as needed. These are the responsibilities of the Age Group Coordinator:

1) The first week of practice in the pool....have a quick meet and greet with doughnuts or popsicles after practice. Usually, the kids sit in a circle and introduce themselves---then play a quick game or chat for a bit.

2) During the season, arrange 1-2 get-togethers outside of swim practice. These can be a pizza party at a park or an afternoon swim party at one of the neighborhood pools or popsicles and sprinklers in your backyard! Really whatever you want to do!

3) At one of the four swim meets, your age group will be assigned to bring drinks/snacks to the meet for the coaches.

For all of the above activities, you can collect funds at the beginning of the season from the parents OR you can just collect money/donations/goods for each event---again totally up to you :)

Please take into consideration you will be responsible for getting the swimmers AND the divers together, not just one or the other.  Please refer to the practice schedule to determine the best time for your age group to meet when swimmers and divers will both be at the pool.  You may ask coaches to release kids 5-10 minutes early in order to accommodate your social.
