CCL SWIM Updates
June 3rd
Hello Croc Swim Families!
It's been a great first week of morning practices so far! It's been so fun to see the pool deck filled with swimmers and parents. Here are few things we need to let you know and remind you of this week, also look for our newsletter coming out Sunday!
- DECLARE for MEETS: Declaration for meets is OPEN. You must go on Swimtopia and declare your swimmer(s) for meets in order for them to participate. If you do not declare we will assume your athlete is not participating in the meet and he/she will not be entered in any events. Please note if your swimmer can or cannot make it for a relay. Deadline to declare for a meet is midnight on the Saturday before the meet.
- TIME TRIALS: Time trials are next Wednesday, June 9th at 4pm. This is your athlete's chance to get a time in EVERY event. Coaches will put every swimmer in every event unless you comment that you do not want them to swim something. There is an option to send the coaches comments when you declare for the meets, this is where you would do that. We STRONGLY encourage every swimmer to swim every event at time trials unless they have an injury that prevents them or simply cannot swim the stroke (applies mainly to younger swimmers).
- AFTERNOON PRACTICES: Practices are 4-4:45 for 8u,10u and 12U and 4:45-5:30 for 14u, 16u & Seniors. Please encourage your (mainly older) swimmers to get in the water and get swimming. Club management is hesitant to keep reserving the pool for us when no one is in the pool practicing. Sidenote: these are GREAT practices to attend because the numbers are usually smaller and your swimmer can get more attention from coaches.
- DJ DINNER DANCE: This is event is for everyone and included in your swim dues (you already paid for it)! RSVP for this event is now open on Swimtopia and we need everyone to go on and reply by next Friday June 11th so we can give the club numbers for food.
