VOLUNTEERS:

All workers are asked to report to Volunteer Check-in/Hospitality, located inside the clubhouse in the Men’s Grill, at least 30 minutes prior to the beginning of their shift to receive name tags and instructions on the location of check-in for your particular job. Clerks, Runners, and Timers will check-in on the southwest corner of pool deck to receive detailed instructions and/or stopwatches. Please report to those locations 15 minutes prior to the beginning of each shift and check-in with the Job Chairman and receive training. At shift change, all workers should remain in their positions until a replacement arrives. Clerks and Runners will be asked to shadow their replacement for 10-15 minutes before taking over. All workers must provide their own replacements if they are unable to work their shift and notify MHCC’s Volunteer Coordinator, Emily Eckles (913- 707-3886) who that individual is and their contact information. We will provide watches for all timers.

Hospitality for Volunteers:

Complimentary breakfast items, afternoon snacks, coffee and assorted drinks will be available for all volunteers in the Volunteer/Hospitality Room.

Shuttle and Parking Info:

Swimmer drop-offs will enter the main driveway and be directed to the drop-off area located under the undercroft. At the drop-off location, there will be volunteers to assist with unloading. Traffic will be congested and the safety of the swimmers is our top concern. Areas of our golf course are fenced so swimmers must be dropped off at the designated spot or they will not have access to Tent City.

The shuttle will operate from Pembroke Hill High School parking lot at 5121 State Line Road. Shuttle buses will run continuously during peak hours and then every 15 minutes during non-peak hours from 6:30am until the end of each day's meet.

Spectators taking the shuttle will be dropped off at the pool entrance located on the west corner of the clubhouse.

Neighborhood Parking:

There will be limited parking throughout the neighborhood in Mission Hills near the front entrance of the club. There is also some parking available in Fairway on Belinder Road. Look for signage near MHCC back gate. Guests can park on Belinder, walk through the gate and across the golf cart path to the spectator and/or swimmer drop off.
